After this and Jon Stewart's skewering of Hollywood at the Oscars (the less they laughed, the sharper he got), I wonder whether any Daily Show people will ever be invited to any events. But, man, those guys are funny, and devastating to boot.

I didn't watch, and I guess he didn't get many laughs. So it probably wasn't really "funny" just "astonishing."

Thanks for the link. It was awesome to read.

So, he was really there? He really said that in the middle of all those people?

Wow. He's got guts. Plus, he's funny :)

The parts about Bush were funny, but I also enjoyed the reference to My Fair City:

"Mayor Nagin! Mayor Nagin is here from New Orleans, the chocolate city! Yeah, give it up. Mayor Nagin, I'd like to welcome you to Washington, D.C., the chocolate city with a marshmallow center. And a graham cracker crust of corruption. It's a Mallomar, I guess is what I'm describing, a seasonal cookie."

Oh oh! I love the Colbert Report. Do you know which date this ran?

I don't know whether it ran on the Colbert Report. Mike's link may be the best place to watch it. Unfortunately, there aren't many reaction shots.

Don Imus did something similar to Bill Clinton back in the 1990s. I thought it was funny when he did it, so I'm an equal opportunity aficiando of good satire.
