I dragged my horribly sunburned self to the town of San Miguel this morning, on the island of Cozumel. The Caribbean coast of Mexico has some of the most clear, most beautiful water in the world. Alas, I forgot my dive mask at home, and I couldn't arrage to get a prescription one made down here. That just means we have to return. Also, I inadvertently negotiated a local vendor down on the price of a Cuban cigar by truthfully telling him that I don't smoke. Now I have a genuine Havana to sample before we make U.S. waters on Sunday morning.

Well, smoking that Havana was a fun experience. I went down to the ship's cigar bar, which is one of the nicest spaces on the entire boat. There was a classical trio playing nice music, and I just sat back in a comfy chair as I blew clouds of smoke into the air for an hour. DW was disgusted by my cigar breath when I got back to the room.

Randy, that looks incredible! And I have recently been introduced to cigars, and I LOVE them! I'm jealous of your cubans! It looks like you have had a great time, well deserved!

It was a great time, and I highly recommend everything we did. Except maybe putting the moves on your spouse on the deserted bow of a ship on a dark, rainy night. Did I really do that? Um, er, I don't recall.
