Woo-hoo! Dumpster diving!
Yesterday's prank got me thinking about what kind of jokestering could persuade some of your humble correspondent's quieter readers into joining the ranks of Dumpster Dive commenters. Anybody got any ideas?

You can always beg, it worked for Danny over on www.dadgonemad.com a few days ago. He got like seventy comments, mostly newbies.
I may just try that. My sitemeter tells me that there are a few folks who lurk here everyday but never comment. I'm genuinely curious about who they might be.
My traffic has increased and I have no idea who these sob's could be. Although, I kind of try to maintain that fourth wall and go along with the deception that I don't know who can see me. I tend to comment on the blogs I visit regularily and I'm not sure that's any better.
Yes, begging, asking for advice, making a huge politically incorrect statement ... those are some ways. Having had my own blog, I know it's only expected from me to comment on friends' blogs, so maybe the non-commenters don't have blogs, and therefore don't understand the feeling of rejection you get when the comments box says ZERO.
Your blog is fun, though, so don't worry about that.
As the only person I'd know who might know enough of both worlds to find this amusing, I learned (from Inside Deep Throat) that Harry Reems lives in Park City, Utah these days. Somehow that seems perfect.
Ha. I meant as YOU are the only person I know, etc., etc.
