Interesting article and commentary, Todd. The gist of the article is that autistic individuals have an ability to judge their own personality traits, but they lack the memory necessary to make judgements on those traits in others. Interesting notion, but I don't know. My boys have superb memories on certain topics (Toby knows the location of every train track in the state), and they have a pretty good idea what they do and don't like about individual people. Their Uncle Bill, for instance, is very tall, which Adam likes because it means he gets to go higher into the air when Bill tosses him up than he goes when I toss him. That's the kind of thing Adam remembers.
