Fun little survey. I came up 60% general American English and 10-15% everything else (pretty evenly balanced).

I was a little put off that they didn't have the most prevalent local term for a carbonated beverage: "cold drink." I marked "coke," but that's not the term most used in the New Orleans area.

ReplyDeleteI put "pop," because that's what I grew up saying. But mostly, I just say, "I think I'll have a drink."
