Supreme Court

President Bush will be introducing his nominee for the Supreme Court in about two hours. It's been interesting to watch the speculation going all over the place today, particularly as a couple of the people being discussed happen to be among my employers.

I would imagine that would be kind of thrilling. I'm simply transfixed by this whole thing in a car wreck kind of way.

Didn't see Craig's name on the list. I should have mounted a better whisper campaign next time. :)

Any thoughts?

Heading for DC, R.?

Evidently, there's going to be another East Coast, Ivy Leaguer on the Court, and it isn't Craig (who is from the East Coast, but who attended an ACC school). We'll see in about half an hour. Perhaps we can mount an anti-Ivy League campaign on behalf of Craig's nomination for the next vacancy.

I saw AP lists Robert's as the nominee. I liked Clements better, but I wasn't too fond of anyone on the short list in the media.

I'm tired of the liberal "the sky is falling" rhetoric and the right wingers scare mongering - it must be CONSERVATIVE and not move to the middle even an inch! Ideology trumps precedent!

I don't know about Craig's politics, and I don't care since I'm fairly sure he would rule on more than his ideology.

Craig for Chief Court Justice ;-)
